Busy Weekend….

What a busy weekend for us!! Yesterday(Sat) was a total workout day for us… Our bodies are cramped, fingers are pain, legs are weak and parts of my body had rashes, I cant even squeeze a soft ball now…. Soooooooooo tiring!!
The activity begin in the morning with JQ’s mum and dad, JQ and myself, after that followed by JQ’s brother and her cousin wan jun and wan jun’s mum. The activity ends around 10+, so as to reward us, JQ invited us for dinner at east coast road “c.nai”, yea, dinner, I didn’t type wrongly..
What activity do you think that needs so many people and so tiring? Well let me tell u, it’s painting the house…. Btw we just painted the living room + study room and it took us a day! It’s not yet completed, we still have 3 more rooms to go.. I’ll try take MC if possible… Shhh don’t tell JQ =p

For today, we had food tasting session at grandpark cityhall for our AD, the review from us, all dishes are nice, some are great! Portion is also very generous from other wedding dinner I attended, the manager and forum says the same things, Chinese focus on face value, so portion can’t be too stingy.
After food tasting, we when Plaza Sing Daiso to buy some stuff, then took train to Chinatown people’s park complex to get things for our ＂过大礼＂ and “安床… So expensive!!!! We forfeit a lots of items, but still pay so much.. For girls side,she paid 300+ for boy side I paid 100+, few items 400+, buay tahan leh….. But couple in front of us bought 700+ worth of items… Phew, lucky our side all very chin cai…..
With 90% of our item bought, we went ABC market for dinner.. So crowded even at 9+…
After dinner, we went home and after bathe I’m typing this…. Going to sleep now…waking up at 5+ tmr…..zzzzzzzzzzzzz

3rd Year Hold Hand Anniversary

Hmmm… Went on a hiatus for awhile, coz I’m lazy to blog.. Wahahaha!!

These few mths fly really fast.. In a blink of eyes, its going to be our Chinese Customary. Been slacking for abit, we got to buck up and get our butt working & planning hard.

Okok.. back to our 3rd Year Hold Hand Anniversary, which was on 18 July 2011.

This year was a splurge. =P But money spent was quite worthwhile. We decided on a staycation at Pan Pac Singapore. As usual, I am the one who did all the booking and liaisons.. Wrote to Pan Pac to indicate that I wanna signed up for their club services and informed that we are celebrating our anniversary in the hope for some ‘surprise’ they can do for us and requested for early check-in.

Yahoo.. The day that I had been waiting for has come……  Reached the hotel and check-in was quick coz I had submitted all my details with one of the customer service before hand. Was given a room 3414 on the Pacific Club floor by the receptionist. Cant wait to faster check out our room.. heheheehehe.. Headed up to 34th floor..

*ding* 34th Floor!! To our surprise, while searching for our room, someone called out our names. He, David, is the Pacific Club Asst. Manager. He had been waiting for our arrival, and he showed us the way to our room.. But wait.. we aren’t heading to 3414 anymore.. We were given a room at 3417, this room is a suite with balcony!! Woo hoo!! He mentioned that bcoz it is our anniversary, he upgraded the room for us, from a normal room to a suite with balcony so that we can enjoy the fireworks from the National Day Preview parade. Chubby Hubby & I were so so so so happily once he showed us to our room and guide us in. The room is big de lor.. With a separate ‘living room’, work area and a cozy sleeping corner.

Their toiletries is branded ones.. Shampoo, shower gel & soaps are all L’occitane. Can’t bear to use, so I brought it home..

The view from our room’s balcony was fantastic.. We could see Raffles Place, Marina Bay Sands & National day parade.

Can’t bear to leave the room & hotel coz I wanna make every $$ worthwhile. But we had to get a quick bite from Marina Sq as both of us still haven’t taken our lunch yet. Lunch was at Jack’s Place bcoz I miss their Lobster Bisque alot.. After makan, we wasted no time.. Headed back to the room again.. Must make it value for money ma.. Hahahahahaa!!!

I was pestering Chubby Hubby to go to check out the lounge even thou we just had our lunch. Club services comes with 24hours club lounge, with high tea & evening cocktail provided.  The fridge in the club lounge is filled with juices, yogurt, MAGNUM ice-creams. How to resist leh.. Just walk in to the lounge any time of the day/night, if you are hungry, help yourself to everything in the lounge.. They provide cup noodles too. Stuff in the mini bar in the room is also FOC.

At the Pacific floor, you will feel so loved. Staff seems to be so attentive, with all ready smile. The Manager will find time to make small chats with us to make us feel at home.  While at the lounge, we were told be one of the staff that the housekeeping team is cleaning my room and requested us to return to our room 5mins later. However, while heading back to our room, we saw the David happily walking out of our room. From then, I know something isn’t right. Kekekeke..

As we entered the room.. below is what we saw..

Tah dah!! What’s more up the sleeve of the Asst. Manager? We found a cake & champagne on the living room table. The cake has 3 candles on it, indicating that we are ’3 years old’. Really felt so loved by the hotel~~

After slacking in the room and stuffing ourselves with the yummilicious chocolate cake, we headed to lvl 33 to their Sunset lounge to enjoy the evening cocktail. They served light finger food and alcoholic drinks.

From the Sunset lounge, we were about to see some part of the National day parade segment. I always have no luck when it comes to balloting of NDP tix. Bo bian lor, I can only watch from a distance, better than nothing.

Actually the main highlight of the NDP is the fireworks (at least to me).. So I wasn’t very interested to watch the musical portion. Waited for the sun to set and get ready my camera to shoot some nice fireworks on my not so pro digital camera. Caught some pictures of the skyline of Raffles Place, to conclude, Singapore is just too bright. We invited Chubby Hubby’s friend to come up and see the fireworks with us, but, his gf was too shy.. So too bad la Jeffrey, we enjoyed the fireworks with the perfect view.

During the night… Again, being the cheapo me.. I asked Chubby Hubby to accompany me to the 24hrs lounge to make tea to drink before ending our day. hehehe.. who knows.. The Asst. Manager is still so hardworking, still working at 12am. I requested for late check out from him and he immediately agreed to my request. Hooray!!! Our room was extended to 6pm the following day!! Super worth our money spend lor.. I believed if I would to stay at MBS, i wouldn’t even get such treatment. They will forever say no to early check-in, no to late check-out.

Rise & Shine the next day. Breakfast was provided. We had a choice of having our breakfast in room or going to either 3rd or 22nd or 33rd floor to enjoy our breakfast. We decided to head to 3rd floor to have our hearty spread of buffet breakfast. I guess they had the largest breakfast buffet that we had ever since. Hmm.. quite yummy too..

The rest of the day was more slacking & slacking in room. Make use of the TV to watch shows like nobody business.. Time really flies, in a blink of eyes, our lovely staycation had ended!!

I want MORE of this staycation.. But, it’s too costly..

Kinect Time!!

Good morning peeps! On my way to work, so I(Jason) decide to write something here?
The weekend that just passed us was a tiring weekend forJQ n I…. Sat wasn’t that bad, anyway let’s start with sat.

Sat- meet JQ at our 老地方 Downtown East for movies, we wanted to watch 3 shows that day, Kungfu Panda II, Hangover II and X-Men. But in the end, we couldn’t make it for Hangover II as the tickets was already full for midnight.
We didnt watch Kungfu panda I but as many ppl said it was funny so we decide to give part II a try. We watched 3D, shut our else or try avoid things flying towards us(3D effects)! haha. Overall the show is not bad for family type, with kids of cause.
X-Men, a friend of mine(X-Men Freak) said that X-Men movie is becoming like StarWars, cause they are playing back older and older days in every new movies, this time round they are telling how X-Men were formed, how Prof-X and magneto split their ways with their own group. For a person who sleep through the very first movie of X-Men, I wasn’t really eager to watch it… But after the movie, all I can say is, good movie, I like it a lot! So that’s it for our sat activites.

Sun- It’s a shag day.. It’s only 1 hour or less.. But we sweat like an animal…. We exchanged blows, we challenge each other to the max, we played Xbox Kinect~
JQ bought Kinect sport last week, and we played it over the weekend. There are a few sports namely football, bowling, track and field, boxing, table tennis and beach volleyball..
Track and field is my favorite I guess, it consist of 100m sprint, long jump, javelin, discus and hurdles. Everything was fun, and what makes it more fun, was the last part in the track and field – hurdles…
Let’s keep this short… As JQ and I were in position… It was very tense as JQ only won me in 1 event in the T&F discus.. The race starts to count down… “get set” ……… “GO!!” as fast as we run on the spot (u need to do that to run in game) I can feel my leg starting to ache, but no! I will not give up!! Hurdle!! JUMP!! Ok cleared! The run goes on… Jump… Run… Jump….. Suddenly, I was amazed by the sound effect of the game!! Before I even reach the finishing point, there were already fire cracker sounds to celebrate my victory!! Wow! Then JQ couldn’t stop laughing…. When she finally reach the end point, she blamed me for making her lose… JQ u r such a loser~~

PS: fire cracker sound were made by me…. From my butt. =p

Busy Busy Weekend!!

As the title reads, “Busy Busy Weekend”!

Our weekend is indeed a busy one.. Events were filled for the 2 days!!

28 May 11 (Saturday)

Went to Raffles Medical @ Tampines 1 for my last Cervical Vaccination to be done. Yay!! Prevention is better than cure..

Next, headed to Suntec City. I had previously bought 2 Tony Roma’s set lunch vouchers from deals.com.sg for $21.50 each and deadline for the voucher is on 31st May. So bo bian lor.. Die die must go and eat! Had to top up $5 each, coz we went on a weekend. Tony Roma serves nice pork ribs, it will be a waste that if you are there but never try their ribs.. Thus, both of us had ribs of different flavours.. Yummy!! The rib comes with 2 side dishes too. Can’t finish my side dishes, too full liao..

Whats happening next is the talk of the week for both of us.. It’s our 1st time.. So excited!!

Movie @ GV Gold Class!!! I know it is a splurge.. BUT.. it’s once in a while la.. Selected a movie that is 138mins long. =P  The longer the duration, the more worth it the seat is.. =D

Booked our Gold Class at VivoCity.. Collected our tickets from GV counter.. A wow factor for Gold Class, you have a separate queue from the rest and the queue is carpeted with RED carpet.. Out of the sudden, I felt like a star!! They handed us a GOLD CLASS envelop with our tickets in it..

While waiting for our show to start, we had about 2hrs to rot, we went to slack at Starbucks. Aircon is Starbucks VivoCity CMI, almost as good as none.

20mins before the show starts, we headed to our long-awaited destination.. Was greeted with a GOLD CLASS lounge.. OMG!! We should have went to the lounge to slack instead of Starbuck. The Staff are always so ready to serve you, sure can get the attention that you need. They passed us a menu each to check if we wanna order some food in to the cinema to eat. Of coz the mountain turtle us are so readily to try their menu out.. After discussion, we ordered a set meal and their famous Gold Wings. The set menu consist of an appetizer, a main course, a dessert and a cup of soft drink. It will set you back by $30. The Gold Wings cost $14. The food was proudly sponsored by my dearest Hubby and causes a damaged of $50plus with GST and service charge.

Then after, we proceed into the cinema!! WOW WOW WOW!! The cinema is a small cozy one. Total of 24 seats only. Fascinated by the seats, ultra comfortable that comes with a soft blanket to keep you warm thruout the movie. The seat can be reclined till 180 degrees, almost like a bed!! Food were slowly served to us. Ample time was given to us between dishes so that our plates do not crowd with food. Each time they serve their food, they are so thoughtful to bring along 2 packets of wet tissue. At the end of the movie, I collected 8 packets of wet tissue le..

Verdict for Gold Class :-

Service – 4.5/5

Food – 4/5 (Gold Wing, I <3)

Seat – 5/5

Price – 2/5 (burnt a big hole in my pocket lor)

We ended our day by going to Punggol to look at the progress of our lovenest. To my disappointment, our block has not grow taller since 2 weeks ago.

 

29 May 11 (Sunday)

My day started as early as 7am on a lazy Sunday. Wash up and prepare.. Off we go to have our breakkie with my mum. Malaysia will be our destination for the day. Head to JB for a purpose!! We are selecting our Pre-wedding photos!! I’m so excited, coz I know our photos are going to be so beautiful till I will have difficult time in choosing..

Met up with my 2nd aunt at Woodlands interchange to take 950 to JB. Traffic was rather smooth.. HOWEVER.. To our horror, there is a massive human jam at the JB custom. We were stucked there for more than 1hour… Tsk tsk.. Late for my appointment la.. But nvm..

Our photos are all so nice.. Very tempted to top up for pages at 1st.. However, after much thoughts, I decided that we shall not top up coz at the end of the day, the album will be ended up either under the bed or in the storeroom. Waste $$.. The only extra $$ we spent on was to purchase the softcopy of our photos.  The entire selection process took more than 3hours.. So tiring!! Got to wait for 2 – 3 months to view our layout.. =( So eager to see it immediately lor..

Happy Vesak Day

Hi everyone, Happy Vesak Day!
How did you guy pass today? Hopefully you had a great day like JQ and I, =)

Our day was planned by AJQ, unlike others who may had took leave yesterday and went for a short trip, we had our quality time together by SHOPPING!

What we did…
Went for brunch at Tampines central food court, bought KOI after that. Went to Haze house at Punggol to take some stuff.
Had a chat with Haze, looked around in her new apartment and asked about her renovation stuff. Then JQ and I agree on one thing…. MONEY NOT ENOUGH! Looks like we got to really buckle up in moving towards a first world parli.. eh i mean ideal house. =p

After wasting Haze time, we took a walk under the HOT sun @#$%^&*( to our flat(no pics, if want pics please leave a comment to ask JQ to upload).
Our block as per today is only 11 storey high(our unit is at 16), still a long way to go, but its getting higher day by day.

After taking some shots of our flat, we took bus to Courts Mega Store to take a look at our appliances and do a simple calculation. Did not finish looking all, but we do take note of the prices for TV, Air-con, fridge, bed, sofa, bed and i forgot liao..
Along the way i gave JQ a Bad/Good idea, i suggested to her to buy a TV now…
Reason – To Enhance our gameplay of our Xbox Kinect!
And i said to her, ” Buy now, after our flat come, we can put it in our bedroom.” Smart eh? =p
So she agreed, but we have not choose any TV set yet as she wanted to walk a little more to get a better offer…

Then we went to Tampines Mall, to look for a better offer between Courts and Best…

Pre-Wedding PhotoShoot

Our long awaited pre-wedding shoot is finally HERE!!

Booked our photoshoot dates all the way back in October 2010.. No choice got to be more kiasu abit.. =D Our photographer that we requested, Kevin Then, is so so HOT!! He won quite a number of awards..

Jason & I  went in to JB a day earlier to stay in the hotel so that we do not have to wake up so early the next day to cross the border.. Crystal Crown hotel was our choice for the 3D2N stay in JB. It’s RM160 per night. Room is decent & clean!

As instructed by SG Bridal House, we are not supposed to drink water after 10pm and have an early night.. Being a good girl.. I listen to their instructions.. =P Need to reach the bridal shop at 9.30am the next morning!!

*Ring* alarm went off the next morning!! I’m all excited for the photoshoot.. Wondering how would it be like.. Bathe, dry hair, go down for breakkie!! 9.30am SHARP – Reached Bridal shop!

Make up, get changed.. And phototaking session starts.. Had a crash course on how to pose for the best results during phototaking.. Makeup, change, makeup, change.. This process went on for 4 times.. =D

Done with indoor shoots.. Off we go to outdoor for some scenery shooting!! Outdoor location was filled with mozzies!! =( Kena biten like crazy till insect repellent got to come and rescue me!! Location shoot ended almost near 9pm. SO SO SO Tired!!!

2nd day of shoot starts at 11am! Left with 1 more indoor shoot & 1 location shoot!! Its a wet wet shoot I’ll say.. Fun but dangerous la.. Chop Chop Chop.. everything ended quite early.. In the end, we returned to Singapore sneezing sneezing sneezing…

Busy weekend 22nd ~ 24th April 2011

JQ and I had been really really lazy….
In wonder if there is any reader left…

Ok anyway this long weekend is good experience I think..
We need to go sg bridal at jb for JQ to try her wedding gowns

Let’s start with Thursday after my work..
JQ and I decide to meet for dinner at Vigo city, the Asian kitchen was the place. As Friday was a holiday, I decide to go her place to rest for the night….

Friday, cheapo queen JQ bought vouchers earlier for coloring of hair at vhaytique in NEX, didn’t wanted to accompany her at first. Then she agree to watch movie with me (we didn’t watch movies for months..), so as a patriot movie addict like myself, I agreed to stay with her…
I waited for her at coffee bean and played iPad/iPhone game “emross war”

2 hours later, finally that cheapo is done with her hair, so we bought tickets for movie “The Eagle” at 1730.
Then had lunch at ichiban boshi while waiting for the movie,Her Treat!

While waiting for the movie to starts, JQ asked me," what movie we watching har?" duh!!
Done with movie "The Eagle" nice movie, we would say.
After that we split our ways home… As I need to work tomorrow..

Saturday

Work n cursed for the first half of the day(as I'm working) finally, rush home to get ready to meet JQ at downtown east.
At downtown east we walked around to find a place to eat. Initially we went into Just Acia, but came out before we ordered anything as it was too squeezy there, then we decide to have New York New York for dinner.
After dinner we watch movie again(yay!!), Scream 4.
Was a good movie for me with unexpected twist of events, but JQ don't understand, pardon her blurrish character…

After movie we went to the bus stop on our way back to her house. Suddenly unexpected twist of event happened to us!!! JQ pop a question," did you bring your passport?"

OMG!!!!!!

After confirming that I forgot to bring passport, we decide to have a change of plan..
Plan B, come my house for the night and proceed to jb from there the next day….

Sunday

Woke up at 7AM and prata and off to JB by train then bus, reach JB at around 10am then uncle from sg bridal come fetch us at City Sq.

At sg bridal, JQ test a lot of gowns and seems like we liked almost all of them but we can only choose 5…. Finally we choose 5….

Uncle sent back us to city sq, then we venture into all the shoe shops to scout for JQ bling shoe!
Target for the day, getting her bling shoe!! Walked around many shops but in vain.. Then we decide to go back Singapore orchard to find the bling shoe…

Walked around orchard, then saw F1 event along orchard by Red bull, had a quick peek and continued our venture… We went pazzion, Charles and Keith, taka and a few more…
I'm dying….
Lastly we went Anna nucci at 313, this was the last shop in her mind before we attack bugis..
And congrats to myself! She found her favorite bling shoe!!
No more walking!!
Had a pit stop at coffee bean just outside Anna nucci for about an hour….
Then JQ said she feel like eating 我爱taimei at bugis… Ok we still got to go there…..

At bugis, we went G2000 first to get pants n shirt for our coming photo shoot, my stuff were so much easier to get… Got in done in less than an hour…. So we had 我爱taimei for dinner(can't think now… JQ if u reading this and remembered… Pls update what we eat here…)

Done with dinner n took bus 12 back…. Ok bye good night… ZzzZZzZZZzz

Boring week!

Happy Chinese New Year to all! Hope you guys had collected many “Ang Bao”(s) and win lots of money!

Writing this to remember this day that my sweet wife left me alone in Singapore to japan for a week! Company Holiday Trip! Was’nt able to join as my stupid work dont allow us to take leave on post holidays… PUI !! But on my part, i sld had join her after monday…. =(

Happy 2011!!

Happy 2011 everybody! 2010 was a great year for me(Jason) as I got myself a pretty wife(Jiaqin) heehee. Hope everyone had a great year like me too, 2011 a brand new year to start with, forget the bad memories and look forward to the great year ahead!
I’m taking this chance to let my wife know how much I love her!

Dear Jiaqin, thank you for your understanding in me and your endurance towards my shitty temper every now and then, it really was unintentional every time it happens. I love you and I’m willing to give you anything that I can. In this 2011 I hope you will stay healthy and remain cheerful! I will make you smile and laugh happily everyday and say I love you everyday!

Genting trip 17/12/2010

Hello everyone! It’s been such a looooong time since I(Jason) blogged… Hope there’s people out there waiting n dying to read my blog. =p

Alright let’s blog about last weekend….

Since X month, JQ had already planned this trip together with her mum, aunt, and cousin and I was invited (by JQ). Her mum n aunt already book concert tickets for Jenny, Hrm…. Jenny… Any idea? Nvm, anyway just another concert. =)

Day 1 Friday 17/12/2010 (zzZZzz day)
Finished work at 1840,rush home to take my clothes as I was meeting them 2200 at goldenmile. I thought there were not enff time for me, but in fact, I had too much time…. I even watched “Power Sunday” Taiwan variety show n take my time wondering why is time so slow… At last times up! 2100! Took a cab down goldenmile, wondering why I don’t wanna take bus/train there? Well being a proud Singaporean, I refuse to answer that qns. =p
Met up with them already, now is to wait for our coach to come, we booked Sri Maju (大红花), here comes and thumbs up for the coach! Highly recommended by ME!
Ok the next few hours is sleeping time…….zzzZZzZZZzz……

Day 2 Saturday 18/12/2010 (I’m a hooker!)
It’s 5am+… We are reaching Genting, didn’t had a good rest unlike the pig beside me whom snored all the way since 12am…
Got off the coach, and to first world hotel… Got our first room and then Q number for 2nd room…
Then went for breakfast at old town…
Speaking of old town makes me laugh… JQ aunt brought her own chilli from sg and asked the waiter to cut for her, but the best part is when we want her to ask some things from the waiters, she refused saying,” don’t want la, very ma lu.” lol?
After breakfast, most of us except Desmond and zi ying didn’t go due to age limits.
At last… Casino!! Is time to get my money + interest back!! Wahahaha!!!!!

Few hours later……

I said to myself,” ok, I’m gonna invest more, and I’ll be back later….” =.=

Got our 2nd room and had lunch at causeway bay cafe… Food was so-so, price kinda steep.
After lunch, we went back to hotel room as piggy is sleepy again….
Met Desmond n zi ying 4.40pm at bowling alley… But there were too many people so we wrote our name for later. Had Starbuck to kill time as we are meeting JQ mum and aunt for dinner at 1800 before their concert starts.
1759, had dinner at a restaurant specialize in teppan… Food – no good (again)

After dinner we went bowling, Bowling was fun, starting to like it a lot, had been trying out how to hook the ball correctly, it’s an achievement to see your ball hooked and strike! Well, that was my dream.. I washed the drain most of the time… I’m like paying them to just throw the ball into drains.. But with my determination n strong will, I had succeed a few times and proud to call myself a Hooker! Hrmm… Sounds weird… But whatever.. =P
One more thing, after 8 or 9 the bowling alley starts to changed… It becomes a Disco! Luminous lighting, spot lightings techno, it brings me back to old times……

After bowling JQ and i went back to casino,

Round 2 Fight!!

After a strong battle with the host, we lost… Again… What’s new… Tell me about it… Zzzz time to go….

Had bought tickets for Tron 3D at 1.30am… Kinda regret it… As I slept during their last part of their fighting. If you asked me to rate it… 3/5 and 3D effect not that fantastic… Maybe it was great during the period when I’m snoring.. No idea.. Watch it yourself.

Advise- never watch movie so late especially you have not enff sleep…

Day 3 Sunday 19/12/2010 (adventures day)
Woke up at 10, had breakfast at Ah Yat, services was LOUSY! So many workers but services sucks.. Made me asked 3 times for a piece of form to order food,what a bad way to start my day..
After breakfast, we had bowling again to kill time while waiting for the coach.. All I can say now is, I’m a better hooker now. xD

It was so crowded at the bus bay of Genting, everyone is going home today… Sld had brought my amour and shield to bash this crowd…
Alright, coach is here, time To go home.
Along the way, something scary occur… The bus’s engine stalled… Not once not twice, but for few times… O man, I wanna go home early! Please don’t break down now!!!
Then it starts to pick up again…. Couples of hours later, one of the driver came up and told us that Tuas custom is heavily jammed, and we may not reach Singapore before 12 MN.. They gave us options, carry on or go by woodland custom, of cos to escape from the congestion, we choose woodland custom.

The bus bay at johor bahru was over crowded!! I bet there is at least 500 people waiting for public bus.. Luckily we only have to squeeze through the crowd rather than waiting for the bus…
At last we are at Singapore Woodland Custom…
Spilt my way with JQ n family, took a cab home from Woodland….
